They say a picture’s worth a thousand words. If that’s true I’m already rambling because these pictures say a lot. Below, are some of my favourite photographs of Melbourne’s street art scene, that I took with my Nexus phone on my recent trip.
Note: The best part of Melbourne’s street art is stumbling upon it when you’re least expecting to, and for that reason I have not included the locations of the works below.
Artists come from all over the world to make their mark on the streets of Melbourne, a creative city that has become famous for it’s street art. If you’re visiting Melbourne look out for these works of art, but don’t be discouraged if you can’t find them, they may already be tagged with something new!
Happy travelling Travel Addicts!
Neat pics, Jessica. Though some graffiti is more imaginative than others!

There’s so many cool pieces of street art in Melbourne! I loved it. Hosier lane is awesome, but my favourite was walking down a random street in a residential area and seeing a Simpsons piece on a house wall. So cool when you don’t expect it!

Some of my favourite pieces from this trip were from random residential streets also. It’s so fun stumbling upon new works… especially when you’re lost… which I was a lot haha!

The Melbourne street art scene appears to be similar to that of Bristol. There is still some edginess to it. It is not too manicured. Thanks for sharing.

Love these murals, Jessica – they reflect the same vibrancy and creativity that I’ve seen in the murals here in New York City as well. Art is universal! Best, Susan

Hosier lane is one of the most famous Graff-art locals in Melbourne. I like to wander around the city every few months to check out new art as there’s always good ones popping up.

So far I haven’t found an equivalent in Sydney – anyone know of one – it would make for great photos?
